BIO 0131 is an online lecture that compliments the BIO 0132 lab (Online) course designed for non-biology major students enrolled in online degree programs. The course provides an overview of biological science and satisfies a designed for non-biology major students enrolled in online degree programs. The course provides an overview of biological sciene and satisfies a general education requirement in the natural sciences. The basics topics covered include characteristics of life, biomolecules, various levels of organization of living systems (cells to organisms), enzymes and energy, genes, gene expression and regulation and the basic principles of evolution and ecology.
