Description
This course is designed to assist teacher candidates in developing competence planning for reading and writing activities and thinking skills across the curriculum. Candidates learn to make connections among concepts, procedures, and applications from content areas. This is to motivate elementary students, and encourage the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and ideas to real world issues. Candidates develop thematic unit incorporating techniques to foster activity inquiry, collaboration, and supportive interaction in the elementary classroom. Candidates will apply the knowledge, skills, and dispositions developed in this course through the 30-clock hour practicum required for concurrent enrollment, EDUC0368I
