Description
Mythology has many dimensions and may be used in many ways with elementary and secondary students. A study of mythology may stress religious significance; may be presented in the light of their meaning for various cultures; or may be analyzed from the point of view of anthropology or psychology, literature, art, or muisc. In this course, the interest will be directed to myths as "stories" and their importance in the world of literature. These lively and satisfying stroies will be seen as an influence upon ancient and modern literature, art, and music. This influence, very properly, will be part of our pursuit in this course.
