    Description

    In this course the student will study the question "What ought to be?" by reviewing the wide range of human conduct that embraces motives, desires, intentions, and overtacts. Various ethical theories that explain why people act as they do and what form of life is best will be discussed. Throughout the course the student will be aided in thinking critically about such theories in relation to contemporary issues. A multi-cultural approach will be taken in the examination of these issues.
