Description
This is a combined lecture and lab course which serves as an introduction to statistics and data analysis. Topics covered include: an introduction to experimental design, descriptive statistics for univariate distributions, introductory probability, an introduction to correlation and linear regression, sampling distributions, confidence intervals, and hypothesis testing. Statistical computing software will be used throughout the course to reinforce these concepts and allow students to explore real world data. Credit for this course is equivalent to credit for a combination of MATH0250 and MATH0255.
